Developing the Worker Well-being Program with Levi Strauss & Co.

Twenty-five years after implementing its Terms of Engagement (TOE) to protect workers’ rights and the environment, Levi Strauss & Co. is now leading the move beyond compliance by scaling its Worker Well-being program (WWB) across the supply chain. Through the program, Levi Strauss & Co. partners with suppliers around the world to make ongoing, vendor-led investments in workers that trigger social and business results. MANAUS has been working with Levi Strauss & Co. since 2014 to set the framework for the program as well as to develop and implement related tools. As part of this work, MANAUS has created the WWB Implementation Guidebook and a Gender Equality Guidebook together with Levi Strauss & Co, among other tools. MANAUS has also helped define the company’s strategy around WWB and its scaling up efforts.
